A weekend in Rioja Valley

Friday

You can stay in Rioja Valley from 2:00 p.m. on Friday, we provide you with personal access codes so that you can decide the time.

Our advice is that you do it before seven so that you can take advantage of the afternoon and enjoy the pintxo-pote, a round through the bars of Cenicero in which you will taste the excellent wines that are made in the town accompanied by a tapa.

As the current situation forces you to be home before 11:00 pm, you will have everything you need to enjoy an intimate dinner at the Rioja Valley apartments.

Saturday

Breakfast in the apartment itself (at nine it will be prepared at your door)

At eleven o’clock we went on an excursion to the vineyards of Bodegas Tritium. These vineyards are located near the urban nucleus and are more than 100 years old, having been planted before the plague of phylloxera. While we observe how the field is, they will explain aspects related to its cultivation and we will enjoy a lunch, if time allows it, at the foot of the vineyard of Rioja products and wine from their wineries.

At the end, you will visit its traditional winery in the upper part of Cenicero.

We will continue drinking vermouth through the city of Cenicero while we take a historical tour, as it holds the title of city (the youngest being the eighth in La Rioja) and has one of the four replicas in the world of the famous Statue of Liberty.

We will leave to your choice how to enjoy the time that is free until the next activity giving you some recommendations.

Visit around half past eight in the afternoon to Calado “El Legado”, a wine truffle that together with two caves from the 15th century has been recovered by a passionate of the vine and wine and where we will enjoy a tasting and a dinner in the cellar typical Rioja products.

It will be finished before eleven o’clock to give place to return to the apartment.

Sunday

Breakfast in the apartment itself (at nine it will be prepared at your door)

Healthy walk along the banks of the Ebro, with an approximate duration of one hour and suitable for beginners.

At twelve o’clock, the centenary winery Bodegas Riojanas will welcome us for a guided tour and treat us to a tasting of its most emblematic wines.

With this activity we will end the 100% wine tourism weekend programmed by Rioja Valley.
